Perhaps the Best Lotion I've Used

This was an impulse buy on my last Wal-mart outing. I'm not a fan of lotions in general because most of them seem to leave a greasy feeling on my skin long after it's applied. Unfortunately, I suffer the usual symptoms of someone who sits and works with his hands from 10 to 16 hours a day, six and seven days a week; and I am always on the lookout for a better remedy for dry, irritated, burning and itchy skin. I've never tried any Gold Bond product because I've always found the type of heavy marketing campaigns the company has used to promote its products to be suspicious. If the product was really that good, they wouldn't have to push it so hard, right? Turns out I was wrong about Gold Bond, or at least with this particular product. The lotion is so thick that it would probably be more accurately described as a cream. It only takes a very small amount (pea sized or less) to treat my hands or other irritated areas, and after rubbing the product in for a short time, it hydrates and soothes without leaving a greasy feeling to the treated area. There is almost no odor whatsoever with the cream, making it less irritating to those with sensitivities to perfumes. After applying the lotion to the affected areas for only a couple days, all irritation disappeared and having continued to use it several times a day since, no symptoms have returned. I couldn't be happier and am already planning on buying the 13 ounce bottle so that I'm sure not to run out of lotion anytime soon. I strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for relief from irritated or dry skin, and I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

Soothing and it really works!

I think this is the best body lotion! I use it liberally to keep my skin moist, especially during the dry winter months.

If You Are Sensitive to Fragrance, Unfortunately....

First of all, I believe the product will work beautifully. However, when I applied it to my hands, I immediately knew it was not "fragrance free" as promised. I am extremely sensitive to fragrance - the sweet kind that's derived from perfume oils or even natural botanicals - and another variety called "masking" fragrances. Years ago I discovered that the government does not require strict labeling of products that contain many types of fragrances. If I recall correctly, I believe products labeled "fragrance free" are allowed to contain many types of fragrances, but those labeled "unscented" are not. Unfortunately, many "fragrance free" products are allowed to contain masking fragrances - and masking fragrances are often more pungent than added perfumes. I looked at this product ingredient list again and I see that it contains flower extracts and jojoba - I'm assuming these may be providing the fragrance. When I applied this lotion to my hands, my eyes began to mildly sting. That's a sure sign for me that it contained fragrance. And when I brought my hands to my nose, it confirmed it. I'm disappointed because the lotion feels great and absorbs well - but it has to be returned. I had to use dishwashing liquid (Free and Clear Seventh Generation, which is completely fragrance free) to wash this Gold Bond perfumy smell off my hands. I realize that most reviewers will not be as sensitive to fragrance as I am. But for those who are, I post this review. Now, it's not heavy duty fragrance - but it's definitely there for those of us with good noses. There are so many good products that are truly unscented and fragrance free. My staples are Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion and Complex 15 Lotion - both available here on Amazon at great prices. I just noticed that Cetaphil has a new ultra hydrating product - I think I will try that one for hands during cold weather (which is not often here in Los Angeles).

Best moisturizer I ever used!

I hope they never discontinue making this product! It is the best moisturizer I have ever used. It is great for soothing and moisturizing my hands and feet. I live in Michigan and the winter weather can really dry out my hands but I use this product before I go to bed and my hands are in great shape. I can feel the product just soaking in to my skin. I have also started to use this product on fresh scars and it is helping to heal them which is a lot cheaper than Mederma. I also like that this product contains chamomile, aloe, ginger, oat, and vitamins A, C, and E. Amazon also has a great price for this product. I highly recommend it. I'm very glad that Amazon carries the product because I can no longer find it in my local stores.

It's great and it's hard to find

It's great and it's hard to find, however, charging this much for this small of a container is ridiculous. http://www.walmart.com/ip/10794766?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227000027818&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40843482272&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=78656830352&veh=sem

Gold Bond Ultimate Soothing Skin Therapy Lotion, 13 oz

I love this lotion. We used to buy it at WalMart, but can't find it locally anymore. Then, found it on Amazon & ordered a bunch of it. I like the unscented bc of my allergies. It's great lotion. True to its word!

Helpful with my Keratosis Pilaris (KP)

I love this lotion. I have been using it for several weeks now. I have Keratosis Pilaris (KP) - which are tiny white bumps on my arms. Sometimes these bumps can be itchy and I have the scars on my arms to prove it. Since I have been using this lotion, the bumps are less noticeable and less itchy. I think that the Chamomile helps with the itchiness. This lotion contains Urea - which is an ingredient that my dermatologist recommends for controlling the KP. This lotion works without drying my skin. I am using it in combination of with Gold Bond's Sensitive Body Wash.

I don't know why, but this has been hard to find in local stores recently. I'm so happy to have found this! It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, & was reasonably priced! I'll definitely be doing business with them again in the future! Very pleased!

works for me

I really like this lotion and I am disappointed to learn it is no longer offered through Amazon's Subscribe and Save program. Too many lotions have an odor/ scent that bothers me. This one did not.

Very good hand lotion!

I have a little one at home and wash my hands a lot. This lotion is helpful in keeping hands soft and healing when they crack. It absorbs well and I like that it is unscented.
